Our Projects
Seringueira
The Seringueira Project is a Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) initiative developed in Ipixuna, Amazonas State, Brazil, by Terra Vista. Covering a conservation area of 18,465.60 hectares of Amazon Forest, the project aims to avoid the emission of 5,950,346.17 tons of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). Developed in accordance with the REDD+ AUD and APD guidelines of Verified Carbon Standards (VCS), as well as the triple gold standard for Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB), the project not only contributes to biodiversity preservation but also benefits local communities through initiatives focused on education, health, employment, and infrastructure, thus improving their quality of life.
Jatobá
The Jatobá Project, situated in the Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector, is a Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) initiative developed in Boca do Acre, Amazonas, Brazil. Developed by Terra Vista, a Moss group company, the project will conserve 18,017.83 hectares of Amazon Rainforest, avoiding the emission of 8,190,937.55 tons of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). The project follows the triple gold standard for Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB), focusing on biodiversity conservation in a Key Biodiversity Area in the Brazilian Amazon. It includes measures to avoid Planned Deforestation (APD). Moreover, it aims to strengthen the local community through technology transfer, infrastructure improvements, and capacity building.
Açaí
The Açaí Project is an emissions reduction initiative from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD) developed in two Brazilian municipalities: Envira (39.9% of the project area), located in the Amazonas state and Feijó (60.1% of the project area) in the Acre state. Developed according to the REDD+ VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) guidelines, it is aimed at carrying out the "AUD - Avoidance of Unplanned Deforestation" activity. The project region, particularly the municipality of Feijó, has one of the highest deforestation rates per area in the period from 2019 to 2022. The project will conserve 15,715.82 hectares of native forest, avoiding the emission of more than 9 million tons of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs).
